From the desks of the Head Teacher

As we draw the curtain on the 2024/2025 academic year, it is with immense pride and gratitude that I reflect on what has been a vibrant and impactful school year. This academic session has been marked by a rich blend of intellectual pursuits, character-building experiences and joyful moments that have shaped the lives of our pupils in meaningful ways. It has also been a testimony to the collaborative efforts of our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and most importantly, our vibrant and eager learners. Your academic prowess is evident in your performance across all fields.

Through the session, our pupils have engaged in a rich blend of curricular and co-curricular activities designed to nurture both intellect and imagination. These activities complimented classroom learning and contributed to the development of the whole child. One of the highlights of the year was our energetic Inter-House Sports Day, which provided the platform for physical expression, teamwork, and healthy competition. The event fostered a sense of unity and house pride, reinforcing the value of collaboration and sportsmanship. The participation and support from parents also added flare and made the event truly memorable.

Our feast day was a joyful celebration of shared love. It offered a moment to pray and thank God as a learning community for our matron saint – Our Mother of Perpetual Help under whose motherly protection we are placed. It was a fun filled day,  a day of music, and joyful fellowship. Another exciting moment was the Favourite Colour Day, which added a burst of creativity and expression to our school calendar. This celebration offered pupils an opportunity to express themselves creatively and confidently. Pupils expressed their individuality in vibrant colours, fostering a sense of identity and inclusion.

The skills acquisition week was a particularly exciting and enriching part of our programme. Pupils had the opportunity to learn skills such as simple crafts, self expression and presentation, bead making, head braiding and care, basics in sewing and tailoring, knitting and crocheting, singing and dancing. These we put in place to promote creativity, confidence, and practical intelligence from an early age.

Another major highlight was the Spelling Bee competition organized by the Catholic Education Commission. Our pupils came out top. Thanks to the teachers and pupils for that great feat. The last but not the least of our activity was the book fair. Through this fair, pupils’ love for reading was reignited. It also opened their minds to the world of stories, knowledge, and imagination.

To our Graduating Class of 2025, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you all on your outstanding performances in the recently concluded cognitive Placement Examination. We are proud to have recorded 69 distinctions and 2 merits, a truly remarkable achievement.  You have grown in knowledge, character, and confidence. As you stand on the threshold of a new journey, may you carry forward the discipline, integrity, and excellence you have cultivated while here in our school. We are confident that you will represent the values of this institution with distinction in whatever path you choose. Always remember that education is not an end, but a foundation upon which you continue to build.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, whose passion and professionalism have guided our pupils through the year. As we look ahead, may we continue to work together to inspire, nurture, and equip every child to reach their full potential.

I am also grateful to our ever supportive parents and guardians for their continued support and trust. Your trust and partnership continue to make a significant difference. Together, we have laid a strong foundation for the holistic development of every child in our care. And to our pupils – you are the reason we believe in a better tomorrow.

May the next academic session bring renewed strength, greater accomplishments, and deeper purpose. May we continue to build a community where every child is inspired to learn, grow, and succeed.  And may we also continue to shape hearts.

Warm regards,

Sr. Chinyere Mogboh NES
